Dr. Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Kaied, Executive Director of the Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC), welcomed Dr. Maram Al-Otaiby, CEO of the Support Health Services Center at the Ministry of Health, and the accompanying delegation, to SAAC’s headquarters in Riyadh.   The visit came on the occasion of a major milestone for the Forensic Poisons Center in Riyadh, which had just obtained accreditation in the field of toxicology and forensic in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025. This made it the first laboratory of the Ministry of Health to obtain accreditation from SAAC.   During the meeting, SAAC and the Ministry of Health (MOH) discussed future collaboration to strengthen the quality infrastructure in the Kingdom. SAAC briefed the delegation on its future plans to expand its accreditation services to more laboratories and healthcare organizations in the Kingdom. SAAC also emphasized the importance of accrediting laboratories to raise the level of quality and enhance confidence in their results
