The Saudi Accreditation Center held a Board meeting on Tuesday morning, 7th of August, 2021. The meeting was led by His Excellency Dr. Saad Alkasabi on behalf of his excellency the Chairman of the Center's Board of Directors, where His Excellency and the board members discussed the center's progress and its latest prominent achievements.The board demonstrated a number of the center's achievements and objectives during 2021, which is considered a transformational year after it completed the founding stage earlier. They discussed the implementation progress report of the five-year strategic plan for the first half of 2021. They also reviewed the center's financial statements on an accrual accounting for the fiscal year 20192020-, the center's project budget for the fiscal year 2020, and enterprise resource planning software (ERP).

The highlight of the center's achievements was receiving international recognition from the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) on the 10th of August,2021, in the accreditation fields of testing calibration laboratories and inspection bodies. His Excellency, Dr. Saad Alkasabi, emphasized the center's strategic role in ensuring the impartiality and independence of accreditation activities in the Kingdom, in line with international practices. At the end of the meeting, the CEO of the Center, Dr. Adel Alkeaid, extended his gratitude for the efforts and support of the Board members that enabled the center to achieve its goals and vision, and contribute to reaching the quality infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the top ten countries in the world in 2030.
