The Saudi Accreditation Center has celebrated World Accreditation Day, which falls on June 9th each year, by organizing a forum under the theme "Accreditation: Empowering Tomorrow and Shaping the Future.". The event saw the attendance of numerous officials, experts, and specialists in the fields of accreditation and quality, with active participation from both the governmental and private sectors.   On this occasion, the Executive Director of the Saudi Accreditation Center, Dr. Adel bin Abdulrahman Alkeaid, emphasized in his opening remarks the importance of accreditation and its role within the quality infrastructure system in keeping pace with the technological, scientific, and environmental transformations happening worldwide.   The event featured two panel discussions: the first "Accreditation: Enabling the Conformity Assessment Sector," and the second "Future Trends in Conformity Assessment," with speakers from government entities and private companies. It is worth noting that the Saudi Accreditation Center is committed to celebrating World Accreditation Day in conjunction with the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), along with other international accreditation bodies worldwide. This initiative aligns with SAAC’s strategic goals to elevate the quality infrastructure system in the field of accreditation in the Kingdom to be among the top ten globally by 2030.
