This service aims to evaluate the technical and managerial competence of laboratories to perform specific standards of testing, inspection, measurement, and calibration within defined fields. It enhances the quality of results and increases confidence in the services provided by these laboratories, as well as in their technical and management procedures.

E-services level agreement

Select “Apply for Service.”
Log in using your username and password.
Select “New Application” to initiate the process for obtaining new accreditation.
Complete the grant services application form and attach the required documents.
Payment of Applicable Fees.
Submit the accreditation application to the Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC).
Receive an email confirming receipt of the application.
The application is received and processed by SAAC, with the conformity assessment body being notified of any updates related to the application.

Commercial Registration or proof of the laboratory’s legal entity.
Laboratory organizational structure.
List of laboratory personnel within the scope of accreditation.
List of equipment used by the laboratory within the scope of accreditation.
Definition of the scope of accreditation (list of tests, examinations, or measurements).
List of reference materials used within the scope of accreditation (if applicable).
Results of participation in proficiency testing or interlaboratory comparisons.
A quality management system in accordance with the requirements of the relevant standard, such as ISO/IEC 17025, including internal audit reports and management review.

Application

Submission of an accreditation application by the conformity assessment body through the website.
Application Review

The Center reviews the application and verifies the completeness of the requirements.
Document Review

The Saudi Accreditation Center reviews and evaluates the entity’s documentation.
On-Site Assessment

SAAC conducts a site visit to verify the competence of the entity.
Decision

Upon verification of compliance with the requirements and the competence of the conformity assessment body, a decision is made to grant accreditation.

Assessors And Experts Services

This service is provided by the Saudi Accreditation Center with the aim of attracting qualified technical assessors and experts to collaborate with the Center as assessors and experts on a part-time basis. They participate in assessment visits in accordance with international standards. The service aims to build a pool of qualified assessors and experts, support the assessment processes of conformity assessment bodies, and enhance the quality and efficiency of accreditation activities.

Training Services

SAAC offers a range of training programs aimed at developing technical capabilities in the fields of quality and accreditation. These programs include in-person training, remote training, and self-paced learning, supporting performance efficiency and enhancing the readiness of conformity assessment bodies and professionals working in this field.

Certification Bodies

This service aims to verify the managerial and technical competence of certification bodies across multiple fields, including management systems, products, processes, services, and persons, thereby enhancing clients’ confidence in the quality of the services provided.

Inspection Bodies Accreditation

This service aims to verify the technical and managerial competence of inspection bodies to perform specific types of inspection services in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17020.

Halal Certification Bodies

This service aims to verify the technical competence of halal certification bodies in accordance with the applicable standard, thereby enhancing clients’ confidence in the quality of their services and products.
This certification authorizes products and confirms their compliance with Islamic Sharia requirements, ensuring that the product is from a permissible source or slaughtered according to Islamic methods.
