CEO message

The Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC) is the national authority responsible for accreditation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a key component of the quality infrastructure ecosystem. It plays a pivotal role in enhancing confidence in conformity assessment bodies and in improving the quality and safety of products and services in the Saudi market.

SAAC accredits conformity assessment bodies of various types in accordance with recognized international standards, ensuring their competence, impartiality, and independence, while supporting regulatory and supervisory authorities. It also serves as an effective link between national requirements and international best practices in the field of accreditation.

In line with its strategic vision, SAAC adopts an integrated approach aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, by enabling a reliable national accreditation system, enhancing international recognition, reducing technical barriers to trade, and supporting industrial development. SAAC also places strong emphasis on developing human capital, improving operational efficiency, and promoting a culture of quality and accreditation as a tool for sustainable development.

Looking ahead, SAAC aspires—by the will of Allah—to contribute to positioning the Kingdom’s quality infrastructure among the top 15 countries globally by 2030, through the provision of innovative and reliable accreditation services in partnership with entities within the quality infrastructure ecosystem locally and internationally, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and promoting foreign trade.
